Storyboarding

Introduction

Today, my group and I created storyboards to plan for our movie and its production. Storyboards are drawings arranged in chronological order that depicts how you want your movie to go. This technique is utilized commonly in the film industry as it helps the production company understand how the movie is supposed to look. For example, if you were creating a storyboard for horror there might be a good chunk of close up shots and camera movement such as trucking/tracking. We created a storyboard consisting of 3 scenes, each with 6 shots, creating a total of 18 shots our movie. We determined the shot size, angles, and framing.

Reflection

After making the storyboards with my group, I became advanced at creating storyboards. Storyboards can be a crucial element of pre-production alongside the script and shot lists. My group and I were able to create these storyboards by using printed out handouts on paper and a pencil to draw on it. This allowed for us to create storyboards to the best of our abilities. Soon my group and I will be able to start the production of our movie which will be easier to do thanks to these storyboards.
