     In my opinion, Media Studies is the analyzation of media and the understanding of how your consumed media works. Media Studies allows you to get a deeper understanding of media and look at it in a more critical way, then usual. My favorite media products are social media and books. An example of the main social media I use is YouTube .I tend to use YouTube a lot because it keeps me entertained and keeps me interested in what I'm watching. I especially enjoy reaction videos to movies or tv shows because I can see how someone feels about a show or movie, or even a song that I like or dislike. Books are also a form of entertainment for me and they keep me hooked onto what it is I'm reading, whether the genre is mystery or fantasy. In fact, my favorite books that I like to consume are A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, any Harry Potter book, and any Percy Jackson book. One common theme in the books I read is that the main character of each of the books are all teenagers and it an make me feel represented as a teenager myself. 

    The media product I will be documenting the most in this blog is an opening film. I will be documenting the process of creating the opening film. A film I would like to create is a horror film that has a camp genre. These are the type of films I enjoy and like to watch in my free time i.e. the Scream Franchise. I am creating this film for an audience that varies from young adults to grown adults. I am making this film because I want to learn about how the type of films I gravitate towards are produced and made. The message I want to get across using my film is how a situation and people are not always as they seem along with stressing how important it is to be cautious in modern times. Things I would need to learn in order to create my film are camera angles, editing tricks, music and sound production, lighting, and how to utilize actors and the script. My film will be ready to release sometime in April 2025. 

    The strategies I will need to use in order to create my film and document my blogging journey is to record every step I took to make my film so that I could upload all the information about the process to Blogger. I would also create a script for my movie so my film plot moves at a steady pace and remains consistent. I would also like to feature a twist or turning point in my film to keep viewers hoked onto the film and watching out for hints as to how the movie will go. A major thing that will be necessary for my movie especially since it's a horror, is for it to have a climax and resolution. Most horror movies feature  climax where the main character is fighting the killer and a resolution that shows you the effects of the killer's actions. They will be successful in completing my Component 1 blog with a high score because it will make my blog interesting and accurate as well.
